Unattended Software Problems

The software developers in charge of Drupal 8 Drupal Commerce 2.x currently believe that they are close to publishing a full release version of their code. However, Drupal 8 Drupal Commerce continues to contain numerous software problems of various types. Some of the software problems apparent in Drupal 8 Drupal Commerce are inherent design problems. Other software problems in Drupal 8 Drupal Commerce are just annoying bugs, some minor, that it a formal commercial software development project with a formal quality assurance department and with a Program Manager (Product Planner), would likely have been addressed long ago.

Evidence of at least two such minor bugs within Drupal 8 Drupal Commerce appear on the general Drupal status report page (see images above). One of these minor bugs is that a pair of Drupal token types are defined within the Commerce 2.x code but were never given value definitions elsewhere in the code. This bug was first reported on December 14, 2016. After more than six months of inattention, and even additional notifications on the same bug report page, nobody on the Drupal 8 Drupal Commerce has fixed the problem.
